I went to college to study anthropology but fell hard for coding and graduated with a Computer Science degree.
Afterwards I joined a FinTech startup: first coding product enhancements in C++, then managing client accounts, and finally managing two core products - including leading a global team on a cross-functional product redesign. This experience gave me a 360 degree view on how products get developed and how they can be refined to create the best experience for the user.
Now, I'm excited to get back to development. There's something fundamentally satisfying about building things.
One of the things I've appreciated about my Startup Institute experience is the overall framework it's given me for web development. (I was already confident in my ability to code.) Having this foundation makes it easier to learn other things quickly - I particularly saw that with my work on my partner project - and this is what I'm looking to leverage and build on in web development.
