Throughout my years of interaction with others, here are some things that people have told me they've been inspired by:
1. Focused on solutions, with a can-do attitude. As soon as I graduated from college I lost all support from the Writing Center. I found out that proofreaders charge more than $100 per hour. I knew I wanted writing to be a big part of my life. So I just googled and learned how to be a certified proofreader.
2. Unconstrained by limitations. I taught my History professor the hottest software, just because I think all historians should be cool with technology. There is no limitation and stereotype about history book readers not being able to code.
3. Present. I make observations and listen to others. People say that the way I operate reminds them to focus on the present.
What will I bring to the team?
- My pure positive energy.
- I was born in China and came to U.S. when I was 15 years old. I travel back to China every summer. Therefore I think I understand both Chinese and American culture. I use these unique background to sharp the team with a different perspective.
Three practices I do for every project!
Research background information and find everything about target audiences are the first step
I think clarification and communication are golden for every project. So I communicate with clients so that we have the same understanding on where we are and how we are going to approach our goals.
3. Deadline and Revision!
I always set an additional deadline, which is one or two days earlier than the real deadline. It gives me time to do additional revisions.
