I’m a front end developer and ux/ui designer who has a passion for creative pursuits and an unhealthy obsession with fizzy beverages.
I have a degree in Visual & Media Arts with a specialization in Interactive Media from Emerson College. I’ve made art installations, designed card games, coded food blogs, marketed video games, animated short films, drawn comic strips, cross-stitched anti-inspirational quotes, acted in comedy sketches, and fundraised for universities.
Now I’m ready to use my past skills and passion for learning to start building a focused career in web development & design.
Why are you changing careers?
I’ve spent the last three years working in higher ed fundraising. During my career I found myself focusing my energy on the technology and design aspects of the job: creating HTML emails, posting website updates, and designing materials. I’m a firm believer that passion drives success and I’m ready to make that my full-time career.
What have you learned at SI?
Startup Institute has given me the knowledge and tools to take my skills to the next level. Not only have I had the opportunity to work with a major company to rapidly design and test a prototype, but I have been able to learn all about web design from a long list of masters in the industry. I'm excited to keep learning and growing even after the program is over.
What's your favorite seltzer flavor?
