Passionate former SAIC Art History & Fashion Design Student Fashionista and Personal Stylist with an Interest in digital marketing.
I would like to work as a Junior Social Media Marketer or Event Marketing/Curation Intern; Ideally in fashion technology but open to a variety of tech companies that support women and people of color in technology. The areas of expertise that I should be able to leverage are styling, self-editing, content curation&creation, and a high level of networking social intelligence. I'm particularly interested in content creation and social media marketing. I've discovered I thrive in an open and independent yet collaborative working environment.
What color style of communicator are you?
As any great brand or marketing strategy, I have to be constantly innovating and evolving based off the scenario or situation. I am a complete ménage of vibrant colors based off the situation I'm in. I'm highly socially, and emotionally intelligent and believe being dynamic is important to communicating and the consumer experience.
What are your main requirements for your ideal work environment/culture?
My ideal work environment consists of being "independent artistic collaborators". Meaning, I love working independently on tasks and receiving critique from a wide ranging group of talented people.
Why did you choose to attend the Startup Institute?
Coming from a small town in Michigan it was a high risk/high reward decision for me. I am an avid risk taker (obviously with going to Art School)! I wanted a program where I could become professionalized in a new industry that would be helpful to my overall development as a career oriented woman. I also wanted a program where I could learn the professional tech industry work culture in one streamlined place. Having a design and arts background it is really important to me to be around artistic and abstract-thinking people which is another reason I selected the Startup Institute.
